Throughout this course we studied the essentials of inquiry-based learning. From abilities and understandings of inquiry to process skills,  to comparing facts to concepts and investigable to non-investigable questions, we investigated the terminology and concepts surrounding inquiry-based learning. We investigated technology, specifically Web 2.0 resources, and assessments. Some of these terms were new to me, such as "process skills" and "investigable questions." Ultimately, however, I already had a good grasp of inquiry-based learning and utilize many of these techniques already, such as answering investigable questions through project-based assessments and grading with rubrics.

Inquiry-based learning is at the heart of art education. While some of the resources presented in this course, such as Discovery Education, did not pertain well to my curriculum, it was helpful to consider certain technologies being integrated into my classes. As I already implement inquiry-based instruction into my classes, I will continue to offer more choices to students and encourage them to investigate more on their own rather than dictating which artist we will study. I will also continue to integrate Web 2.0 resources when applicable into my classroom and guide students to develop a love for art and inquiry.
